Nintendo Switch Games to Play in March, 2022

Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? I'm not sure what sort of vitamins Kirby is going to get out of putting his big giant gob all over a car, but here are a few tasty morsels to sample this month!

FAR: Changing Tides – March 1st

I never got around to checking out the first of these games, but it’s been highly praised in our Discord… and it’s on sale for three bucks all over right now!

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes – March 2nd

A zombie themed, rogue-like game with pinball-based battle mechanics shouldn’t work, but it’s absolutely phenomenal. Keep an eye out for more coverage on this one soon!

Triangle Strategy – March 4th

Beyond its fantastic art style, Triangle Strategy looks to have fantastic tactics gameplay to match. Be sure to check out the demo that's out now, since you're progress will carry over to the main game!

Chocobo GP – March 10th

It's gotta be tough to be a cart racer coming out in the same month as the new Mario Kart DLC, but here's hoping Chocobo GP can establish a unique identity for itself!

The Cruel King and the Great Hero – March 15th

I admittedly haven't played The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, but the people I know who have just won't stop gushing about it. And, between the relentlessly adorable art style and reviews from Japan, it sounds like creator Sayaka Oda knocked it out of the park again. Really looking forward to settling in with this one on a cozy Sunday!

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – March 17th

Persona 4 Arena was one of those games stranded in the late-aughts console generation, having never made the jump to PC. But the combination of fanservice for Persona 3 & 4 fans and Arc System Works' impeccable pixel art means it holds up as well as it ever did in the couch co-op days. Couple that with rock-solid mechanics and tailor-fit systems, and I'm more than excited see this one resurface on modern systems.

Gal*Gun: Double Peace – March 17th

One of my Patrons made me play this game, once… it's like… it's like a very horny shooting gallery game, where you are shooting anime girls to turn them on, and shooting them in “special areas” turns them on even more. I will not be playing this one in March, or ever.

…ask CapsuleJay how it plays with a full stick-and-throttle setup, though ;]

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass – March 18th

Mario Kart 8 is great, and the first new tracks for it in years are launching this month. Game night, anyone?

Rune Factory 5 – March 22nd

Rune Factory was functionally a dead franchise two short years ago; its last release over a decade ago was a swan song for the now-dissolved Neverland games. But now we're staring down the barrel of a fully 3D release, and I'm absolutely ready to lose another hundred hours to a comfy-cozy town-life game. After all, it made the shortlist for this year for two staff members – consider that a double-endorsement!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land – March 25th

Despite “mouthful mode” being the most horrifying thing I've seen since Resident Evil 7, this outing for the pink puffball looks outstanding!
