Hey, geeks! This is kind of a cross-post from Patreon, but not exactly. We are working hard on the content for the upcoming edition of the Patreon zine, so I put together a draft of what this as-yet-unnamed Geekery Zine might look like. I have attached it as a PDF, and you can read its full-text version over on the Geekery's Patreon page.
This particular article is looking back at the original release and impact of Final Fantasy VII, while also taking into account the 24 years between when I first heard about the game and playing the remake. What's the point of remaking a game, anyway? And does it succeed at recapturing the magic that we felt in the first place?
While this post is going out to the general public (gotta give 'em a taste of the good stuff, right?), any other previews we do won't be. So from here on out, all the goodness is gonna be saved for Patrons, just like the final version of the zine itself.
So make sure to send this post or the PDF itself to a friend and tell them to check out the awesome kind of stuff members are gonna get!
