A New Dragon Quest Book Appears! Command? Share Your Story!

It's been three years (3 years???) since The Dragon Quest Book released in summer 2020 where it became a best-seller in multiple countries. So first off, THANK YOU!

As I mentioned back then, I had a lot of stories that didn't make it in. Maybe even enough for a sequel. It's been slow going (life happens, ya know?) but I'm finally ready to reveal that my newest book will be out soon. It will most likely be titled The Legacy of Dragon Quest, and it's far enough along that I'd love to hear from YOU.

How Is The New Book Different From The Last One?

This second Dragon Quest book is looking at the development and lasting legacy of the Dragon Quest series. It will feature interviews with people who worked on the games while still having personal commentary. Some of it is cut content from the first book that I just didn't have room for. However, most of it is 100% new. There will also be some tidbits taken from my site here – Dragon Quest Austin – and the DQFM podcast.

How You Can Share Your Own Story In The New Dragon Quest Book

Just like last time, I'm inviting anyone who wants to to share their own story about the Dragon Quest series. While I can't guarantee your story makes it into the book, I do promise to read every single submission I get. Some important things to know here:

Send to : dragonquestaustin@gmail.com – it's the same as last time, completely set up to read anything you send me.

What to Include: The name you want to be credited by (or if you want to remain anonymous). And your story. That's it!

Deadline: June 30, 2023. So, there's about a month open for me to read everything. Anything sent after this date will unlikely make it in. This is because I will be starting on the final rough draft of the book in July.

Who can send something? Anybody! No matter how small your personal take on the Dragon Quest series may seem, I'd still love to hear about it and share it if I can!
