Most of all, The Wild at Heart is a game that lets me enter a vulnerable space, but crucially doesn't prey on that vulnerability.

Getting into the solo RPG hobby offered me a way to enjoy tabletop roleplaying games despite not having a dedicated group to play with.

I am totally engrossed by Beautiful Desolation, but it is not a game I could easily recommend to a stranger. From the graphics to the gameplay, the whole package feels like a relic from a bygone era. This game feels old, but in a way that I love.

Now that it's finally out, I've had a few hours to explore it's post-apocalyptic, cybernetically enhanced, biologically mutated world in order to try to figure out what this game actually is.
