For a special episode of Dragon Quest FM in March, we're playing a game show we like to call “Who Wants To Be A Sime-illionaire!” It's just like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, but all the questions are based off of Dragon Quest trivia (and you won't really win a million bucks if you win).
I envision the game show is hosted by Regoos Philbin (get it?), but unless I can find a sentient slime in a suit, it's probably just going to have to be hosted by yours truly. We're looking for 2-3 volunteers to play with us, and each player will be chosen at random through an RNG wheel. The game show will be recorded on Wednesday, March 3rd, at 7:00 pm EST. So make sure that works with your schedule!
What Are The Rules?
The rules are just like this. Each player will take turns being selected for the “hot seat.” Each player will get three lifelines: phone a friend (it's actually “Ask Someone On Twitter”), Ask the Audience (the other two players present), or 50/50 (where half of the answers vanish, giving you a 50/50 shot at the right answer).
just like with the classic rules of the show, there will be tiers or checkpoints at the $1,000 mark and the $32,000 (again, I cannot stress this enough, there is NO REAL MONEY involved, this is purely for fun). The tiers are based on the classic format of the show, meaning there's 15 rounds total if you make it all the way to the $1 million question.
What About Cheating?
This is meant to be fun, so it's completely on the honor system. But, I mean, don't be a dick and start googling stuff. Let's just have fun! If you make it through all 15 rounds, then you'll get some nice new bragging rights.
Like the show, we're putting a time limit on when you can answer questions. You get 30 seconds per question. No less, no more. If time runs out, then it's game over (or, at least, you revive back at the castle in front of the king).
If you're interested in volunteering to play, please drop us a DM on Twitter @DragonQuestFM or shoot an email to austin@dragonquest.fm
Again, make sure the time slot works for you to record, and we'll choose 2-3 at random. If it all goes well, this hopefully won't be the last time we play the game either, so if you don't get chosen this time around, don't worry!
