Today's Q&A comes to us from the one and only, the CREATOR of all you see before you (at least on Geek to Geek Media)… PROFESSOR BEEJ!!
1. Who are you? What do you do for Geek to Geek?
I'm Beej. I started the whole GtG thing back in 2016 with Void. We just wanted to have a cool podcast where people geeked out about what they loved, and it's grown well beyond what we could have anticipated. These days, I just kind of sit back as Supreme Leader, overseeing the peons as they do my bidding.
I mean…I do…stuff…Yeah. Stuff.
2. How did you start writing/podcasting/streaming?
I started writing in 2008 with the professorbeej blog and just kind of kept at it. I have a lot to say about stuff I like, and if I don't get to talk about it then I'll explode.
3. How did you become affiliated with Geek to Geek?
I made it!
4. Why would you consider yourself a geek?
Well, I used to get legit mad at people who didn't spell Wookiee with two E's. Like, it would ruin my day. And I used to carry a d20 in my pocket for luck. Until I lost it. I hope that wherever it fell, it landed on a Natural 1.
If that doesn't tell you why I consider myself a geek, I don't know what to tell you.
5. Who is your favorite superhero?
‘pida-man!
6. What skills do you have to survive the zombie apocalypse?
Until recently, running. I could outrun the monsters. Since I've let myself go…nothing. I'm a sitting duck.
7. What is your favorite type of geekery? (movies, tabletop games, video games, books)
ALL THE THINGS!
8. How did you get into that?
I think being born, lol
9. How many square feet of pizza can you eat?
See answer number 7.
10.What is your favorite form of exercise? How will that help with the zombies in question 6?
Running for sure. I love exploring towns and new routes and doing trails when I can.
11.Favorite song?
“Pure Imagination” from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack is up there, as is “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters. And does “Hamilton” count as a song? Because if so, “Hamilton.” All of it.
12.Star Wars or Star Trek?
WOOKIEE IS SPELLED WITH TWO E'S! *cough* I mean…Star Wars.
13.Favorite board/card game?
Honestly, I think it's still good ole Magic: The Gathering. I find myself still returning to that after all this time.
14.Super Mario Bros or Zelda?
Mario. What kind of question is this? Who answers Zelda over Mario? Monsters?
15.Which 3 Geek to Geek members would you want on your team in the zombie apocalypse? Why?
- Void because he plans pretty much everything which is a good counter to my “OH SHINY” brainyparts
- Capsulejay because he is crazy fit and will lead the zombies away from me or beat them up when I can't
- Elinzia because she can make something out of all kinds of material and she can be our tinkerer for zombie killing gadgets
16.What is the most embarrassing fashion fad you have ever rocked?
I don't really get embarrassed by what I did, but probably the 40-inch cuff JNCO jeans.
17.If aliens asked you to go with them… would you?

18.If you could be any character in a video or tabletop game… who would you want to be?
Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon God! Because I am very humble.
19.Favorite Disney movie?
The Lion King, if we're talking classic animated stuff.
20.What fruit or vegetable would you prefer for throwing at zombies?
Corn. Not only is it good a chuckin' veggie, we have too much of it anyway because of stupid US laws that reward overproduction and waste. #CornAnger
21.What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
Veep. It's so good.
22.If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?
Probably cartoon villain stuff, like sneak into bank vaults and walk out with bags of cash
23.What is your favorite snack food?
Funyuns, maybe?
24.Name one cool feature you would add to your dream house if you could
I looooooove spiral staircases for some reason. So outside of, like, tennis courts or something else unreal, I'd totally add a spiral staircase. Of course, that would be super weird since I have a one-storey house…
25.What is the most random, rare form of geekery you love?
I like things that look like ruins. :shrugemoji:
