Shmuptember is back for 2022! For week 1 of this event, I checked out two indie shmups: Drainus and Touhou The Disappearing of Gensokyo.

It is tough to show off what makes a turn-based role-playing game work in a demo, but there were some outstanding ones on display at PAX West 2022!

Catmaze is a Metroidvania that's made its way to consoles after a few years of positive steam reviews. It's got a low-budget look, but feels wonderful to play!

The Gallery is an interactive movie or FMV game that tells two twists on the same hostage story in a London Art Gallery.

I was hesitant about going to a convention, but thanks in large part to their vaccines and masks required messaging, I headed up to Seattle for PAX West.
